Youth Action Northern Ireland is a regional voluntary youth organisation located in College Square North, Belfast and our regional offices in Armagh, Ballygawley, Enniskillen, Newry and the North West.
For 70 years we have strived to make a significant difference to the lives of young people and communities throughout Northern Ireland
We recruit and involve young people in non formal educational programmes to maximise skills, qualifications and potential. We particularly target those from disadvantaged communities, vulnerable young people and the older age range of 14-25 years old’s, not engaged in mainstream youth provision.
We support a membership base of over 200 youth groups by providing insurance, Access NI vetting, youth work training, information on governance issues, Youth Achievement and Millennium Volunteer Awards.
We contribute to youth work development by drawing on our experiences and relationships with young people. We host conferences and seminars on topical issues; publish reports and resource packs to assist youth work performance; we work in partnership with statutory, voluntary and community organisations to maximise resources; and we carry out research into the topics most pertinent to young people.
